Breaking news and I'm honored to be one of the few to have the privilege to break this news to the WORLD! Borneo, the third largest island in the world has many bragging rights.

World's biggest flower. Well, we can't claim to be the only place to have this flower but hey, we're famous for it!

Yady yada.... You get the point. Now.........(drum roll)....... Another "fauna" from Borneo has made us proud! THE LONGEST LIVING HUMAN BEING IN THE WORLD!

According to our infallible Election Commission(EC), among our registered voters in Sarawak, there is one voter who was born on 31 December 1880!

His name is M Mahli Bin Sulong and he lives in Kg Bahru, Ilir Nangka, Sibu Sarawak. Apparently he is still alive because he is still in the voters list. I have full faith in our EC's competency. 

Mr Mahli is 131 FRIGGIN YEARS OLD! Before this, the longest living human being in record was Jeanne Calment of France. Her reported age was 122 years and 164 days. She was born 5 years earlier than our Mr Mahli but he outlived her by 9 years!
